What we're looking for
The EMBARK Lab is seeking an undergraduate research assistant to specialize in phlebotomy and blood processing.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with research staff to run study visits
- Complete blood draws on research participants along with subsequent blood processing procedures
- Use basic laboratory skills (e.g. pipetting and centrifuging)
- Liase with laboratories for sample processing and shipping
- Catalogue samples and assisting with interpretation of assay findings
Qualifications
- Can offer at least one academic year commitment and 10 hours per week
- Have completed a phlebotomy training program and/or have experience drawing blood in a clinical setting
